Everyone was in Philly this weekend and why wouldn't they be? Jay-Z stopped by to give the show of the century with performances by Calvin Harris, Drake, Janelle Monae, Jill Scott, OFWGKTA, and Hova himself, just to name a few; even Kanye West stopped by for a quick show. But there was only one performer that Jay-Z had to have as the opening act on Sunday's show(2pm): Pastor Charles Jenkins; the only gospel artist chic enough to perform in Made in America. He performed his hit single "Awesome".
I was blessed enough to go to a dinner with Pastor Charles Jenkins at Fogo de Chao. We dined, we laughed, and of course talked about fashion. He's wearing a Dolce and Gabbana blazer, cargos, low top Nike dunks, and a tee shirt from his company that reads INSPIRE. After speaking with Paster Charles Jenkins, I came to the conclusion that he is a maverick. A maverick is a type of fashion personality where a person isnt afraid to wear outgoing pieces with their looks. We brain stormed on a name for his style and came up with Conservative with an edge, think politician meets fashion maverick.
Pastor wears Dolce and Gabbana
Blazer.
